Soni is Golden at Short Course Worlds
Olympic gold medalist Rebcca Soni (Plainsboro, N.J.) won gold Saturday on day four of the FINA Short Course World Championships in Dubai. Team USA earned a total of three medals on the penultimate night of competition, including Sonis gold in the 100m breast, a silver medal in the womens 4x100m free relay and a bronze medal for Ariana Kukors (Auburn, Wash.) in the 200m IM.
Todd Patrick: Putting in the Work
Todd Patrick grew up around the water, so it only made sense he would end up thriving in it. He began swimming at age 6, and he joined his family on vacations and outings that usually involved a lake or ocean or swimming pool. As he grew older and became involved with other sports baseball and basketball, in particular he used swimming as a way to condition his body. In the end, swimming won out.
